Traffic Exchanges
A traffic exchange is a website traffic delivery service. It is a member to member system of exchange. You look at my site and I will look at yours. Each member either has to view other members’ sites to build up credits or purchase them. The best method is to combine an upgraded membership with surfing for credits as your surfing will produce more credits for the same amount of work. However, upgrading should be done as and when finances allow.
Many people consider traffic exchanges to be ineffective. This is a fallacy. It is simply a case that they are not using the traffic exchange in the most efficient manner.
One of the best forms of advertising I have found is the humble Traffic Exchange. But only if you know how to use it properly. Let me repeat that. One of the best forms of advertising are traffic exchanges if used properly. Too many people give up on Traffic Exchanges because they try to use them to advertise their main business.
This tactic is next to useless – what you have to consider is your audience who, like you, are viewing your page for anything between 10 and 30 seconds. They do not have time to take in how wonderful your product is or how it is going to improve their life, nor are they particularly bothered at this stage.
They, like you, just want the timer to run down so they can earn the next credit so that their page is displayed and so the cycle continues.
So if traffic exchanges don’t work why use them ?
Well, although traffic exchanges are next to useless for selling products they are outstanding at getting referrals and building down lines. You should be using traffic exchanges to build your list and then building up a relationship with that list in order to convert them into customers. This is a theme we will explore again and again as it is crucial to the success of a home based internet business.
